This Pottery Painting Workshop is a get-out-of-the-house respite from that Christmas through New Year holiday vacation madness. Grab the kids and come to the studio for an afternoon of pottery painting and holiday cheer. All ages are welcome, project length will depend upon attention spans and interest level of students. Each student will select a piece of bisqueware- mug, plant pot, crock, and be guided through the patterning & painting process (or you can go crazy and do whatever you like). Families are welcome, a ticket must be purchased for each person who will be painting a piece, if an adult is accompanying a child to help the child but not painting their own piece, payment only required for the painter.

Students can pick up completed work after final kiln firings during our regular business hours. (Friday & Saturday 12-5), or if from out of town, we're happy to mail completed pieces for an additional fee.

Had the very best day, today, at Sugarhouse Ceramic Co, at their Birdhouse Building workshop. Such a great opportunity to spend time with friends, make new ones and, best of all, let the creativity flow in an inspiring venue. The team at Sugarhouse are amazing. They guided us through the build process and gave us the tools and the knowledge we needed to create pieces that reflected our unique personalities and visions. Thanks to everyone who shared the space with us today. We had a blast!

JENNIFER ROY

Loved being able to do a workshop with the folks at Sugarhouse Ceramic Co. Amber was a great teacher and encourager when I felt like things weren't going my way. (Everything turned out great in the end) It's a beautiful studio creating gorgeous ceramics and they have some artist supplies for sale as well.

DEBBIE MACLEAN

I took a workshop with Amber West and the instruction was perfectly paced; alternating demos and practice and running on schedule. Her teaching was so clear and easy to follow that everybody was able to turn out something really cool without struggling, despite most of us being completely new to clay. The studio space is really well designed and very ergonomic and their working space is beautiful and the store space is dangerously tempting. Will definitely be back!
